During the September 17 SLAHU meeting, National Association of Health Underwriters Vice President of Government Affairs Marcy Buckner covered the political basis for how policymaking may be affected as the result of COVID-19 and the 2020 general elections, including NAHU’s strategies to achieve policy goals.

Buckner discussed specific policy proposals that have been and are under consideration or are being developed by Congress and the administration, as well as the political background, changes and processes that are leading to particular actions being made and how NAHU works to influence these processes.

She also discussed the policy positions of the association and the tools and resources to become involved in the process.
