Randy Pate, Deputy Administrator at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and the Director of the Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight, will be speaking at the Missouri Benefit Specialists Symposium this week.
Pate will participate with state legislative leaders from both sides of the river on Friday discussing “Future of Health Insurance in the Bi-State Area” to conclude the Symposium.
The Symposium kicks off on Thursday at 1 p.m. with a focus on multiple Medicare topics for senior market specialists. A grand opening of the trade show follows with the VIP reception and a presentation on Social Security benefits by Brian Doherty with The Doherty Method.
There is a special $40.00 registration rate for Thursday, which includes 4 CE credits and the VIP reception with heavy hors d’oeuvre and two drink tickets.
Friday’s program starts at 8:30 a.m., with group topics and another 4 CE credits, concluding at 3 p.m.

Before joining CMS, Randy was Vice President of Public Policy at Health Care Service Corporation. He spent nearly a decade working on Capitol Hill, at public policy think tanks, and in the executive branch, including a stint at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services during the George W. Bush Administration. Pate holds bachelor and law degrees from The University of Alabama and received his Masters in Public Health from The Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health.
