MOAHU will host its first statewide webinar at 9 a.m. (CDT), Thursday, May 14.
 
Presenter Dannae Delano will address the Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act and the Emergency Family and Medical Leave Expansion Act, two of the divisions of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, which provide paid sick leave and paid family and medical leave to employees affected by the coronavirus and tax credits for eligible employers.
 
The Families First Act requires, effective on the date of enactment (March 18, 2020), group health plans and health insurance issuers offering group insurance coverage, including grandfathered health plans under the Affordable Care Act, provide coverage of testing and diagnosis for COVID-19 without any cost-sharing requirements. The provisions described expire December 31, 2020.
 
MOAHU is the statewide chapter of the National Association of Health Underwriters in Washington D.C. Central Missouri, Springfield and St. Louis chapters comprise the three Missouri chapters of NAHU.
 
Delano, an attorney with the Wagner Law Group will present the webinar. She concentrates her practice in employee benefits law, executive compensation and taxation.
